Bharat Forge sings MoU with Mah Govt
Mumbai, Mar 27 (UNI) Bharat Forge today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra Government to set up a centre for advanced manufacturing of forged and machined components at Baramati.
The centre will be a state-of-the-art facility, and will manufacture high technology, highly engineered critical and safety components for aerospace, marine, rail, power, energy, mining and construction equipment and other industries with an investment of about Rs 350 crore.
The centre will spread over 100 acres of land, the facility will employ a talent pool of over 1,200 highly skilled engineers and professionals.
Bharat Forge is the flagship company of the USD 2.1 billion Kalyani Group and a leading global supplier of forged and machined components.
The MoU was signed by Government of Maharashtra (Industries) Principal Secretary V K Jairath and Bharat Forge Chairman and Managing Director B N Kalyani in the presence of Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, Maharashtra Government Minister for Industries Ashok Chavan, Maharashtra Government Chief Secretary Johny Joseph and other senior officials of the State Government.
