ACB nets govt employee
Visakhapatnam, Mar 27 (UNI) The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials today arrested Parawada Rural Mandal Tahsildar A Dharma Rao on the charges of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Talking to newspersons here, ACB Joint Director K Srinivasa Reddy said the ACB team conducted raids the official's houses at Parawada, Visalakshminagar, Hyderabad, Ayyapparajupalem, Eluru and Chataparru.
The raids were conducted simultaneously, he added.
The ACB team seized movable and immovable assets worth Rs one crore and and two bank lockers, he said.
The seized assets include gold and silver ornaments, taekwood, foreign scotch, Rs 30,000 in cash and documents relating to 21 acres of land in the city outskirts.
The official joined in the State Government service in 1973 and worked in various capacities at difference places in the state, he added.
