Pawar's suggestion is good : Congress
New Delhi, Mar 26 (UNI) The Congress today welcomed the suggestion of Union Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar that the ruling UPA coalition should unitedly face the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
"It is a good suggestion," AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh told mediapersons, while adding that it had come from a partner of the coalition itself.
AICC Spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan said the suggestion of Mr Pawar would be considered by the UPA. "Whatever suggestion that has come has to be discussed by all partners of the UPA." When a reporter reminded Ms Natarajan that the NCP was in alliance with the BJP in Meghalaya, she said the NCP had alliance with the Congress at the national level as part of secular parties joining together to fight against the BJP.
On the BJP's challenge to the congress to declare its Prime Ministerial candidate, the Congress, Mr Singh said the Congress always selected its Prime Miniser after the elections. "We never discloses who will be our Prime Minister before the elections." Ms Natarajan said the BJP should concentrate on issues facing the nation.

That

now."
