NRI groom nabbed for marrying for second time
Kapurthala, Mar 26 (UNI) Kapurthala police today arrested a UK-based NRI groom and registered a criminal case against him for marrying second woman without getting divorce from his first wife.
The parents of the first wife, accompanied by the members of the Lok Bhalai Party, lodged a complaint with the city police that NRI Rajwinder Singh of village Madhopur near Nakodar, now settled in U.K, was performing the second marriage in a local marriage palace today.
SHO Piara Singh led a police party to the marriage palace where the marriage was underway and asked the NRI to show the divorce papers.
