Militant attempt to blow up a bridge in Kupwara foiled

Baramulla, Mar 26: Security forces today averted a major tragedy when they detected and defused a live grenade under a bridge at Kupwara, official sources said.

A Road Opening Party (ROP) noticed a live grenade under a vital bridge at Kupwara town this morning. The entire area was sealed and traffic stopped. Later, Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) defused the grenade, they said.
