Vice Chancellors from Pakistan visit Jamia
New Delhi, Mar 25 (UNI) A four-member delegation of Vice Chancellors from Pakistan today visited Jamia Millia Islamia.
The delegation, led by Lahore University of Engineering and Technology VC Mohammad Akram Khan, called Jamia Vice Chancellor Mushirul Hassan and discussed several avenues of mutual cooperation between institutes of higher learning in India and Pakistan.
''Some of the ventures discussed were exchange of students and faculty-- both for long term and short term stays,'' a University spokesperson said.
Earlier, during a visit to Pakistan, Prof Hassan had signed MoUs with University of Sargodha, Government College University Faisalabad and the Lahore's GC university.
According to the terms of the MoUs, JMI shall engage in areas of academic cooperation with the three Universities, help each other in acquiring and distributing academic publications and assist each other in collaborative research.
