Steve-O's parents 'fed him alcohol as a baby'

London, Mar 25 : Daredevil performer Stephen Gilchrist Glover better known as Steve-O, revealed that his parents fed him alcohol as a baby.

The 'Jackass' star claimed that his late mother was an alcoholic and that his dad was the one who fed him the alcohol as a baby, saying that he was given it so that he would not cry on public transport.

This piece of news came out in his latest blog from an LA hospital, where he has been placed on a 14-day hold while medics observe his condition following an alleged suicide attempt.

"Before Mom and Dad would find themselves in the embarrassing position of being caught by other passengers with a crying baby, I was fed alcohol," the Sun quoted him as having written.

"I know I was always powerless over alcoholism, because it had such a grip on mom's adulthood and my childhood, and I never chose to fight it," he added.

Glover was hospitalised earlier in March 2008 when his pals, including former co-star Johnny Knoxville, "physically forced" him to seek help for his mental state, including bipolar disorder that left him suffering "high highs and extremely low lows."
