Soon after his arrival here, Mr Gandhi left for Biligiriranga Hills in the backward Chamarajanagara district, his first programme during the nine-district tour, where he would interact with the tribals. Mr Gandhi would also interact with the Soliga tribal students in Vivekananda Girijana Kalyana Kendra in the B R Hills and then hit the road on his much touted 'road shows' to Discover India today.

As part of the 'road shows', Mr Gandhi would travel through Yelandur, Santemarahalli, Kaulande and arrive at the historic Nanjangud town where he would address a party workers meeting in the evening.

From Nanjangud, he would fly in a helicopter to Nagarahole National Park in Kodagu district where he would stay for the night and proceed to Mangalore tomorrow.

Tight security cover had been made in all the places where the young Congress MP would visit in the state.

The Special Protection Group (SPG) had taken over the entire visitors area in the national park in view of Mr Gandhi's overnight stay today.
