Hunt on to nab 'escaped' militant in Doda
Jammu, Mar 25 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police have launched search operations to apprehend a militant, who managed to escape from the police custody yesterday in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, police here today said.
''Traps have been laid in the town while special nakkas and police parties have been directed to conduct surprise raids in the area to locate the escaped militant,'' sources told UNI.
A militant identified as Abdul Kabir of Hasti, Kishtwar, escaped from the custody of Doda police yesterday when he was allowed by the sentry on duty to come out of the lock-up for a face wash.

rifles,''

said
asserting,
''
authorities
have
ordered
the
suspension
of
two
police
guards
namely
Jyoti
Prakash
and
Rumal
Chand,
who
were
on
duty
during
the
incident
while
an
inquiry
has
been
ordered
into
the
escape.''
