DPT to organise seminar for beneficiary of CSS staff
New Delhi, Mar 25 (UNI) The Department of Personnel and Training will organise a seminar here tomorrow focussing upon professional and valuable inputs on modern subjects, beneficial to the officers and staff of Central Secretariat Services (CSS).
According to an official release issued today, the seminar 'HR Management: Revisited' will be inaugurated by Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Suresh Pachauri.
The seminar would make aware the officers and staff towards changes in the management techniques and the latest developments in the HR sector. Knowledge of modern HR practices would also broaden the horizon of the officers and staff of the CSS, it added.
The speakers will elaborate the ground realities of government services and the improvements that can be accommodated into it so that the government machinery becomes more responsive to the needs of the people at large.
With the advent of globalisation and consequent liberalisation of the country's policies, it becomes important that the grass-root levels of the Government machinery is groomed well so that the staff manning these posts become receptive to the changes in the world and enabled to initiate and implement new concepts in their day-to-day working.
Apart from the Minister, other participants at the seminar would be Secretary (Personnel) Satyananda Mishra, Director of Aditya Birla Management Corporation Ltd Dr Santrup Misra, Principal Secretary of Government of Gujarat Hasmukh Adhia, the release said.
The seminar would be the first in the series of quaterly seminars.
