Dera chief's plea for quashing of cases adjourned
Chandigarh, Mar 25 (UNI) The Punjab and Haryana High Court today adjourned to April two, the hearing on the plea of Dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh for quashing three cases of rape and murder registered against him by the CBI.
In the plea, the Dera chief had alleged that these cases were baseless and politically motivated.
The trial in these cases, pertaining to rape of Dera sadhvis and murder of journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati of Sirsa and former Dera Manager Ranjit Singh of Kurukshetra district, is going on before the special judge, ambala having jurisdiction to hear CBI cases relating to Haryana.
