Jaipur, Mar 25: The Chittorgarh district administration in Rajasthan announced a two-hour curfew relaxation in the troubled areas of the fort city this morning to enable people to buy essential commodities.
The curfew relaxation between 0800 and 1000 hrs passed off peacefully with no untoward incident being reported. People, who were home-bound since the imposition of the curfew on Saturday afternoon, thonged the markets to buy essential commodities like milk, vegetables. The Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation made special arrangements for supply of milk.
The curfew was imposed in parts of Chittorgarh town following communal clashes during Holi celebrations on Saturday, Scores of people, including police personnel, were injured in the violence while several shops gutted in arson by miscreants.
