TDP members suspended from Council
Hyderabad, Mar 24 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Members in the Legislative Council were suspended from the House for the day today for stalling the proceedings during the Question Hour, demanding immediate discussion on the problems of the MPTCs in the State.
The trouble started when Chairman A Chakrapani rejected the adjournment motion notice of the TDP members, demanding immediate discussion on the problems of the MPTCs soon after the House took up the Question Hour.
When the Opposition members did not heed to the advice of the Chairman to discuss the matter separately, Legislative Affairs Minister K Rosaiah moved a motion, urging the chair to suspend eight TDP members from the house.
Later, the Chairman named the eight members and suspended them from the House for the day and asked them to immediately leave the House.
The CPI and CPI(M) members staged a walk-out from the House in protest.
