One died, CRPF jawan injured, fire in Shankaracharya in Kashmir
Srinagar, Mar 24 (UNI) One person died and two others, including a jawan of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were injured while a fire broke out in the forest area of Shankaracharya hills in the valley, official sources said.
They said body of one, Ghulam Nabi Dar was found in his house at Pakherpora in the central Kashmir district of Badgam.
The cause of his death was not known, they said.
A CRPF constable Ravi Chandran of 185 battalion was injured when his service weapon went off accidentally at Tral in south Kashmir.
He was admitted to hospital.
One, Ghulam Qadir Malik was hit and injured by a vehicle at watter Ganderbal.
They said fire broke out in the forest area of Shankaracharya Hills overlooking the world famous Dal Lake, causing damage to thick bushes. However, the fire was later controlled by personnel of Forest Department with the help of local Police before it could spread to other areas.
