Kathmandu, Mar.24 : Nepal Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala held discussions with India's Ambassador to Nepal Shiv Shankar Mukherjee on Monday morning.

According to Kantipur, the meeting discussed the preparations being made for the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections, and Indian government's assistance, among other issues.

The meeting lasted for about half-an-hour. Koirala reportedly urged Mukherjee to beef up security along the Nepal-India borders to avert possible criminal activities.

Meanwhile, Armed Police Force (APF) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Basu Dev Oli briefed the PM about the security management adopted in order to ensure smooth conduction of the crucial CA polls.

After being informed about the security measures taken up by the APF personnel, PM Koirala directed the (APF) IGP to remain extra alert saying that the anti-polls elements might bring about unpleasant incidents at anytime.
