First ever Lasik Surgery centre at Army Hospital
New Delhi, Mar 24 (UNI) The first ever Kerato-Refractive Surgery (Lasik Surgery) Centre of the Armed Forces was inaugurated at the Army Hospital (Research and Referral) here today.
Director General Armed Forces Medical Services Lt Gen Yogendra Singh inaugurated the centre in presence of Army Hospital Commandant Maj Gen O P Mathew.
The Lasik surgery will help in correction of complex refractive errors and the problems of the anterior surface of the eye ball.
Gen Yogendra Singh said a long standing need of the service clientele has been fulfilled.
Maj Gen Mathew said the Department of Ophthalmology at the Army Hospital is now equipped to offer competent management of the eye diseases available at any nationally reputed eye centre in the country.
