Fake note racket busted, three arrested in K'taka

Belgaum, Mar 24 (UNI) The city police have arrested three persons on charges of circulating fake notes and seized Rs 500 denomination notes totalling Rs 2.90 lakh.

Speaking to reporters Superintendent of Police Hemant Nimbalkar said Shivanand C Pujari, Davansab Kashimsab Nadaf were arrested on March 21 and on their information Timmanna Ningannanavar was arrested today. All the three all belonged to Jamakhandi in Bagalkot district, he said.

They were using a computer and scanner for duplicating notes and they were operating since last two years in Bagalkot and Bijapur districts.

The arrested used to give notes totalling Rs 50,000 for Rs 3000 genuine money, he said.
