15 umpires selected for international training

Indore, Mar 24: A total of 15 grade one badminton umpires, including city-resident Dharmesh Yashlaha, had been selected for International Refresher Course and examinations.

Mr Yashlaha said in a release here today that they would receive training from international umpires during Rs 75 lakh worth Indian Open Gold Cup Badminton Tournament at Hyderabad from March 30 to April 2. The players were selected by the Badminton Association of India.
Besides Mr Yashlaha, P Jaichandra K Shridhar from Andhra Pradesh, F F Baria from Gujarat, Shashank Kulkarni, Sudhir Ghate, Shailesh Kulkarni and Sudeep Barve from Maharashtra, Manoj Kumar Sabat from Orissa, M J Mohan, Chandran Nayar, O P Diwakaran, C V Sriprasad, J Melwin Minoy from Kerala and Ajendra Kumar Rai and Ravindra Chouhan belonging to Uttar Pradesh were the selected 15 umpires.

Among them three to four umpires would be selected for the International Umpire Examinations during Asia Junior Badminton Tournament to be conducted this July.
