Veteran actor Ganpat Patil passes away
Kolhapur, Mar 23 (UNI) Marathi film industry's veteran actor Ganpat Patil died here today, due to illness. He was 87.
He was recently admitted to a private hospital, following deterioration in his health condition and was shifted to his house yesterday.
Mr Patil, well known for his ''Nachya'' (mimic) role, has acted in about 60 films and 16 dramas.
He has acted in popular films like ''Meeth Bhakar'', ''Ram Ram Pavhan'',''Naykinicha Sajja'', ''Thoratanchi Kamala'' and ''Bola Dajiba''.
Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal (ABMCM) honoured Ganpat Patil with ''Chitrabhushan'' award in 2006 for his contribution and service to the Marathi film industry.
