Kent RO to expand its distribution network

New Delhi, Mar 23: Water purifier company Kent RO Systems has said it plans to scale up its number of distributors and dealers to 200 and 2,000 respectively by 2010. ''We intend to increase our marketing network to over 200 distributors and 2000 dealers by 2010,'' company Managing Director Mahesh Gupta said here. Currently, it has 100 distributors and 1,000 dealers.

Earlier, the company said it targeted a 25 per cent market share and turnover of Rs 200 crore by 2010. It is also setting up its third plant at Greater Noida, Mr Gupta said. ''The third unit is coming up at Greater Noida, entailing an investment of Rs 15 crore and is likely to be operational in the next 12-14 months,'' he added.

The company already has two manufacturing units in Roorkee and Uttarakhand, with a combined capacity of two lakh units annually. The firm is already exporting to Pakistan, Kenya, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and is looking for some more countries. We are also coming up with our third manufacturing unit in Greater Noida, Mr Gupta added. The Indian water purifying industry is growing at over 20 per cent per annum.
