Hyderabad, Mar 23 (UNI) Six people were killed as heavy rains continued to lash the south coastal Andhra Pradesh for the second day today.
Official sources said, while three people were killed when lightning struck them, two were electrocuted when they came in contact with a live wire in Kurnool district.
Another person was killed when his house collapsed.
Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy held a meeting with the district collectors concerned to take stock of the situation and the damage.
He also directed the officials to monitor the situation and do the needful.
