19 killed in 3 separate accidents in AP

Hyderabad, Mar 23 (UNI) As many as 19 people, including seven members of a family, were killed in three separate road accidents in Andhra Pradesh today.

Police said eight people including three children, hailing from Suryapet town, were killed on the spot when the tempo trax in which they were travelling collided head on with a lorry between Inupamula-Korlapadu villages here.

The tempo, proceeding from Nalgonda to Suryapet hit the lorry, which was on its way to Hyderabad from Suryapet.

Three people, including a woman, were killed and five others injured when the ambulance in which they were travelling collided with a tipper at Kadapa town.

The injured were admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS).

In another accident, eight people, including seven members of a family, were killed when the car in which they were travelling collided with a van at Aroor village in Medak district.

Police said the car was proceeding from Shirdi to Hyderabad when the accident occurred.

Two persons, who were injured in the accident were admitted to Gandhi Hospital.

The victims belonged to Bilalpur village in Ranga Reddy district.

The deceased included three women and two children, police added.
