Patna, Mar 22 (UNI) At least three people were killed in different parts of Bihar during Holi celebrations today, police said.
In the first incident, one youth was shot dead by a gang of armed miscreants at Rangpur village in Rohtas district of north Bihar following minor altercation, while another person was lynched by another group of Holi revellers at Sakempur village in the same district.
Both victims died on the spot.
In the third incident, one reveller was gunned down by some armed miscreants at Durukhi locality in the heart of state capital this afternoon.
The victim was abducted by a group of miscreants while he was returning home after playing Holi and shot dead from point-blank range.
Minor scuffle during the holi celebrations earlier between two groups was stated to be the reason behind the murder, police said.
The body had been sent for post-mortem.
Though none had so far been arrested in connection with any of the incidents, search was on to nab the culprits, police added.
