Rain likely in Lakshadweep, Kerala

Pune, Mar 22 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Lakshadweep and Kerala.

Rain and thundershowers are also likely at many places in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, south interior Karnataka and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, north interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar and at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Punjab, east Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

Mainly dry weather will prevail in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and west Madhya Pradesh.

Heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in southwest Rajasthan and coastal Saurashtra.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and north Madhya Maharashtra and in some parts of Orissa and above normal in Jharkhand, Bihar and in some parts of Vidarbha. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka and in some parts of Kerala and below normal in Tripura and in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of south Tamil Nadu and in some parts of Telangana, Rayalaseema and of Kerala. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha and north Chattisgarh and in some parts of Haryana and above normal in Manipur, Orissa, east Rajasthan and south Madhya Maharashtra and in some parts of Gujarat.

They were normal over the rest of the country.
