New Delhi, Mar 22 (UNI) Anup Sridhar continues to be the top ranked Indian player with a career-high ranking of 24 in the latest men's singles rankings released by the Badminton World Federation (BWF).
Sridhar, who should be a certainty for Olympic qualification, climbed five places from the previous week's rankings due to his performance in the Swiss Open.
His previous highest ranking was 25 in November last year.
The other Indian men in the top 100 are Arvind Bhat (43), Chetan Anand (69), Anand Pawar (84) and P Kashyap (99).
They have no realistic chance of qualifying for the Olympics since a country can hope to get two entries only if both players are in the top 16 rankings.
In the women's section, Saina Nehwal is ranked 27, followed by Trupti Murgunde at 57.
