Hyderabad, Mar 22 (UNI) Twelve people were killed and eight others injured in two seperate road accidents in Warangal and Mahaboob Nagar districts of Andhra Pradesh today.
Police said ten people were killed and four others injured when a tractor in which they were travelling from Kommala to Gollapalli village of Nekkonda mandal, overturned at a curve, near Dasru Tanda of Geesukonda mandal in Warangal district.
Of the ten, nine were killed on the spot and one succumed to injuries, while admitting him along with four other to the Warangal Government Hospital.
All the victims hailed from Gollapalli village. They were returing to their village after attending a jatara organised at Kommala village.
In another incident, two government schoot teachers were killed on the spot and four others injured, when the car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a lorry near Gopalapalli village of Jadcharla mandal in Mahaboob Nagar district.
The car was proceeding from Hyderabad to Mahaboob Nagar, when the collision took place.
The deceased were identified as Vijayabhaskar Reddy and M Pratap Reddy, both Government teachers.
The injured were shifted to Mahaboob Nagar Government Hospital, police added.
