Religious groups in Tripura react on Tibet issue
Agartala, Mar 21: Tripura state committee of Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha has expressed concern over the aggressive designs of the Chinese government in Tibet and lashed out at the Leftists for their pro-Chinese attitude.
It claimed that that India has a great affinity in religion and culture, especially in Buddhism, with Tibetans and India's two major religious spots Manas Sarobar and Kailash stand close to Tibet.
However, Chinese government for the last 59 years has been misusing their power in Tibet resulting in killing and torturing of innocent people, Mahasabha activists alleged adding that adamant and vindictive attitude of Chinese authority would not be tolerated any further.
''We also appeal to international authority to restore the rights of Tibetans as early as possible,'' Mahasabha activists stated.
