Bajrang Dal alleges conversion to christianity

Ratlam, MP, Mar 21: Acting on a complaint by Bajrang Dal, police raided a Christian training centre as part of investigations into alleged religious conversion activities there.

City Superintendent of Police Jeetendra Dwivedi said that Bajrang Dal workers complained about religious conversions allegedly carried out at the Discipleship Training School Programme (DTS) under the banner of 'Youth With a Mission Organisation' in a house at Rajiv Nagar here.

''A huge stock of religious books, CD and brochures were seized besides books containing objectionable text about other religions,'' he said, adding that 10 youth and two women, hailing from Madhya Pradesh's Khandwa, Khargone and Ratlam districts besides Manipur, Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh, were being given religious training at the Centre for last two months.

He said investigations was on to ascertain that if conversions were also being done.

Bajrang Dal will stage an agitation, if action was not taken in this regard, outfit convenor Rambabu Sharma said.
