UP govt issues Rs 52.54 cr for power supply to Bundelkhand farmers
Lucknow, Mar 20 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government has issued Rs 52.54 crore to the power corporation to avail electricity to farmers of the drought-hit Bundelkhand region for irrigation purpose.
UP Relief Commissioner J P Tondon said here today Bundelkhand's seven districts had been sanctioned the amount accordingly.
Lalitpur had been issued Rs 5.70 crore, Jhansi Rs 3.87 crore, Jalaun Rs 3.88 crore, Chitrakoot Rs 8.21 crore, Banda Rs 12.22 crore, Hamirpur Rs 16.11 crore and Mahoba Rs 2.56 crore.
However, for power line and transformers an extra amount of Rs 25.37 and 27.18 crore had been sanctioned respectively, he added.
