Prohibitory orders imposed at Balitutha
Kendrapara, Mar 20 (UNI) The Jagatsinghpur district administration has imposed prohibitory order u/s 144 of Cr PC at Balitutha under Kujanga police station of the district to prevent a possible flare up between pro and anti-POSCO supporters.
Kujanga Police station Inspector in Charge Anil Mishra said a mass congregation of anti-POSCO supporters is scheduled to be held on April one next at Balitutha to protest the state government's decision to lay the foundation stone for the POSCO Project in the proposed POSCO site in first week of next month.
Mr Mishra said the authorities apprehended breach of peace and to avert any possible untoward incident imposed the prohibitory order as a precautionary measure in Balitutha and in its 3 km radius area yesterday.
Earlier also the district administration had also imposed prohibitory order on November 30 last following a clash between the anti and pro -POSCO supporters.
