Parents must be more careful about teenaged children: Commissioner
Visakhapatnam, Mar 20 (UNI) The City Police Commissioner, N Sambasiva Rao today appealed to parents of teenaged children to be more careful over their teenaged children's activities.
Addressing a press conference here on the murder case of a 17-year-old girl Venkata Lakshmi recently, who was in love with one Dunga Ganesh, the Commissioner said that lack of proper parental supervision and guidance to girls in the family was one of the reasons behind the rise in the number of cases such as abductions, molestations, rapes and murders in the society.
He suggested that parents should take all the responsibility to educate their children about the maladies prevailing in the society.
He said the girl, Venkata Lakhshmi alias Santoshini even without the knowledge of her parents insisted that Ganesh must marry her. This led to the accused murdering her.
Two of his friends, N Lokesh, an auto driver, and G Satyanarayan, helped him in executing the crime, he added.
