Mizoram to have Youth Commission soon
Aizawl, Mar 20 (UNI) Mizoram Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Z H Roupia today informed that House that the state will soon have a Youth Commission.
''Efforts are on for Cabinet's discussion and approval on the Youth Commission Bill,'' he said, adding there are no hurdles in legislating the Commission.
He also assured that the bill would soon be presented before the House after approval by the Cabinet.
Mr Ropuia was responding to a question raised by Congress MLA H Liansailova during the Question Hour in the ongoing budget session.
''Decisions cannot be taken in haste as the commission would be the first of its kind in India,'' he said claiming that a separate fund of Rs 48 lakhs for setting up of the commission in the budget was a positive sign.
He, however, refused to elaborate on the terms and conditions, when ZNP MLA Andrew Lalherliana asked for a blue print of the proposed Youth Commission.
