Anand Jon's sister to hold candlelight vigil in New York
New York, Mar 20 : Jailed Indian designer Anand Jon's sister Sanjana is making sure that he's not going to be forgotten by organising a candlelight vigil outside the N.Y. Criminal Courts Building.
Jon has been behind bars since March 2007 on 40 counts of rape and sexual assault on dozens of women.
Sanjana, who has been insisting on her brother's innocence, has revealed that three models who knew both Anand and the alleged victims will speak at the vigil and in court in hopes of clearing his name.
She also insisted that "hundreds more [witnesses] will come forth", reports the New York Daily News.
The designer's family has been arguing that the 1.3m dollar bail for him is unfairly high, and state that prosecutors have no material evidence against him.
