'The Million Dollar Arm' contest grand finale on March 22-23

Mumbai, Mar 19 (UNI) PDM International and seven Figures Management have shortlisted 27 finalists, who will contest for ''The Million Dollar Arm'' in the grand finale, to be held on March 22 and 23 at Changu Kana Thakur Arts&Sciences College, New Panvel , near here.

The 27 finalists are currently being trained under the supervision of world renowned American Baseball scouts, Roland Ray Poitevint and James Kenneth Huth, for international talent for renowned major league baseball teams in US. They will be honing the skills of finalists and training them for the grand finale.

This unique talent hunt, which was launched on November 20, 2007 in Mumbai, in its quest has travelled to Chandigarh, New Delhi, Kolkatta, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Indore, Lucknow, Goa and Ahmedabad and has come across promising talents with powerful arms trying their hands in effective pitching.

These 27 finalists between the age group of 17 - 25 years were selected after in-depth qualifying rounds held at key centres all over India and were short listed keeping into consideration their optimum pitching speed and consistency from a total of 8000 plus participants across India.

The winner of the finals will get the chance to win 1,000,000.00 US dollars (Rs four crores) and will be send to USA for a period of one year to train for their chance to tryout for American Pro Baseball teams in February 2009.
