Tata Comm launches TelePresence network services

Mumbai, Mar 19: India's private telecom services major Tata Communications Limited today announced the launch of its global 'TelePresence' network services globally, which will enable the consumers with realistic virtual meeting solution.

The service, which has achieved Cisco Certified TelePresence Connection status, will provide innovative realistic virtual meeting solution that creates unique -- ''in-person'' -- experiences allowing real-time, face-to-face communication over a converged IP network, the Company informed BSE.''It delivers life-size images, ultra-high-definition video (1080p), spatial audio and a specially designed environment to create a ''room within a room'' meeting space,'' the Company said.

Commenting on the Company's newest achievement Tata Comm Senior Vice President Global Managed Services John Landau said, ''This is a testament to the performance of our global MPLS capability, and is the first step to a rich range of TelePresence managed services which the Company will be rolling out in the coming months.'' Cisco TelePresence is transforming the way organisations conduct business. Companies can utilize the TelePresence solution to enhance collaboration, to make decisions faster, to improve cross-cultural communications, to scale scarce resources and to move products to market faster, he added.
