New Delhi, Mar 19 (UNI) In the absence of some of the frontline pacers, an upbeat S Sreesanth said he will look to repeat his performance against South Africa back in 2006 when the same side arrives in India for a three-Test series.
Talking to the mediapersons here today Sreesanth said, ''I have played well against South Africa and I am looking forward to have a go at them.
''That was on seaming tracks of South Africa and in India the conditions are tough for bowling but I expect to repeat my previous performance against South Africa,'' he said.
The 25-year-old speedster added that it was good to have a match practice in Deodhar Trophy before the crucial Test against the visiting South African side.
Sreesanth said he was satisfied with his performance Down Under, although he mention that against Sri Lanka in Canberra Sanath Jayasurya did punish him severely.
''I played well in Australia and produced some important wickets at crucial moments.
''In Canberra, Jayasurya played well against me but this is how he plays. Even the best bowlers struggle against him.'' He also conceded that his improved on-field behaviour in Australia was a result of Ayurvedic treatment and meditation that he has been following for some time.
''I am undergoing an ayurvedic treatment and meditation too has helped me a lot in controlling my on-field behaviour.
''Besides I have already got a warning and I might be banned for three Tests if I continue to play in that manner.
''One needs to understand that there is a thin line between bravery and foolishness. I also feel that I have become more mature now,'' he remarked.
The pacer later added that though he will be under some sort of pressure but playing for India is something that will get him going against South Africa.
''Pressure is always there whenever you play for India. But it is a matter of great pride to represent your country.'' However, Sreesanth said he will surely miss fast bowler Andre Nel who was dropped from the South African squad that will start it's campaign against India in Chennai from March 26.
