Photo exhibition of Sacred Relics of Islam from Mar 20

Hyderabad, Mar 19: A collection of 43 photographs of Sacred Relics of Islam, preserved in Topkapi palace in Istanbul, Turkey, would be exhibited at the Salar Jung Museum from March 20-24 on the eve of Milad-Un-Nabi.

Addressing the media here, museum conservator Ahmed Ali said the exhibition would display photographs of sacred objects that belong to the early years of Islam. Photographs of holy relics, which were known as 'the Sacred Trusts', including the Seal of Prophet Muhammad and the holy mantle of the Prophet, would be on display.

Stating that the photo exhibition was being organised by the museum, Indialogue Foundation and Department of Arabic, Persian and Islamic Studies of the Osmania university, he said the exhibition would be inaugurated by State Energy and Minority Welfare Minister Mohd Ali Shabbir.
