Mumbai, Mar 19 (UNI) Neo Sports today announced a bouquet of cricket based shows which is poised to bridge the gap between cricket and entertainment.
Neo Sports today informed a total of nine new programmes which are expected to go on air over the next month with the first one beginning from March 24.
The programmes which were announced here today are ''Dial C for Cricket'', ''Sports Zone'', ''Tour Diary'', ''Tadka Marke'', ''Baat and Bowl'', ''Encounter'', ''Ballebaaz'', ''Jaye He'' and ''The Great Indian Run Chase''.
Speaking after unveiling these new shows Neo Sports Head of Programming Moutik Tolia said extensive research has revealed that beyond the core diet of 'live' matches, there is a huge entertainment need gap existing among cricket viewers which we intend to cater. These are shows that will cater to all the entertainment and information needs of a cricket fan from on the field to behind the scenes.
'Dial C for Cricket' is a unique viewer centric interactive show, where viewers can call in to discuss the various issues of the game, player performances and match conditions. This programme has been inspired by the blogging culture and would be your blog on the television, it was informed at the function.
''Baat and Bowl'' hosted by Vineet Malhotra would take viewers up-close and personal with their cricket idols. The show will have informal interviews with the stalwarts of the game, while ''Sports Zone'' will give viewers the daily dose of sports updates.
''Tour Diary'', hosted by Archana will try and bring to the fore the fun aspect of the game and also give viewers a sneak peek into behind the scene happenings of the teams, while, ''Cricket Tadka Marke'' as the name suggests would dish out the sport with a dash of spice. This show focuses on crazy fans, gossip about cricketers and fun trivia.
In ''Encounter'' the viewer will be shown the greatest encounters in the game down the years, while, ''Ballebaaz'' would showcase the best performances of Indian batsmen peppered with a unique filmy twist.
''Extra Cover'' will give viewers an insight on the finer nuances of the game as well as cover the fun aspect of it. It would encapsulate all aspects of the sport, from comprehensive cricket analysis and news to lighter behind the scenes stories, said the host of the programme Radhakrishnan Sreenivas on the occasion.
