Man kills lover's daughter, commits suicide
Chennai, Mar 19 (UNI) Dejected over his lover, already separated from her husband and working abroad, not yielding to his request to return to India and live with him, a man killed her daughter and later committed suicide by consuming poison at K K Nagar area in the city.
Police sources said Pannerselvam (38), a carpenter, who used to make props for film-shooting, was allegedly having an affair with a small-time actor Ammu, alias Sudha (35).
The woman, separated from husband, was living with her two daughers Selvakumari (eight) and Ilavarasi (seven). She got a job in Dubai and left the country after leaving her daughters in the custody of her sister Indumathi, residing at suburban Retteri.
Pannerselvam had been urging Ammu to return to India and used to frequent Indumathi's house to see the two daughters.
As Ammu stoutly rejected his demand recently, an upset Panneerselvam, as usual took the two daughters to his place last evening and killed Ilavarasi while sent the other daughter back.
When Selvakumari told her aunt that Ilavarasi was missing, they rushed to Panneerselvam's house and found her body dumped in a bucket.
Police registered a case of murder and launched a manhunt to nab Panneerselvam. Later, his body was found near Kumaran Nagar this morning. He had committed suicide by consuming poison.
