Local Congress leader shot at by two men, none arrested
New Delhi, Mar 19 (UNI) A local leader of the Congress party in Anand Vihar area of East Delhi was reportedly injured after two scooter-borne miscreants fired at him.
Intezar Ali, (30), was allegedly shot at near his home late last night while he was going to fetch some food on his motorcycle, according to sources.
He was shot from close range at about 2300 hrs. The bullet hit his thigh.
In his complaint Intezar Ali, who is head of the Congress party's local Sports Cell unit, said a local leader who was his rival was allegedly behind the shooting.
Police said no arrests had been made so far and investigations from all angles were being pursued.
