Washington, Mar 19 : 'Enchanted' director Kevin Lima has been tapped by Warner Bros. and Legendary to direct 'Spook's Apprentice,' a project once considered as a re-teaming venture by Johnny Depp and Tim Burton.
The film is based on Joseph Delaney's children's book of the same name, reports Variety.
'Spook's Apprentice' is a six-part series, and tells the story of a 13-year-old boy who meets a forbidding old spook and learns about wizardry.
Originally, Matt Greenberg adapted the project, which Warners and Legendary are co-producing and co-financing along with Thunder Road.
Thunder Road's Basil Iwanyk is producing alongside Lionel Wigram and Lima's producing partner, Chris Chase.
Alysia Cotter, who brought the project to the studio before she joined Legendary, is the executive producer.
