Mumbai, Mar 19 (UNI) Maharashtra Government will provide training to the childen of mill workers in various fields, Urban Minister of State Rajesh Tope said in the Legislative Council here today.
Answering a query raised by Congress MLC Sanjay Dutt on the rehabilitation of the mill workers and their children, Mr Tope said the government has tied up with MITCON to provide training to the children of workers who have been affected by the closure of the mills in Mumbai. Mr Tope said 32,657 such children will be provided training.
Mr Tope also informed that an FSI of 4 has been sanctioned to the mill lands. This will enable the developers to rehabilitate around 20,000 mill workers, he said.
