London, Mar 19 : Bryan Adams has warned pal Amy Winehouse that she is flirting with death through the lyrics of his new song.

Adams has named the song 'Flower Grown Wild' and it has reportedly struck such a strong chord in Winehouse that she will soon be singing it on stage alongside him when he goes on the road this year.

"Bryan was so concerned about Amy when she came to stay. It's an unlikely friendship but Bryan has taken her under his wing, and he would be distraught if anything happened to her," the Mirror quoted a source, as saying.

The lyrics include lines such as, "Amid the stars and the bars, the pimps and pills" and "the picture faded and the day was done, went home to nothin' but a loaded gun."

In the song he also croons: "She may look like a lady, but she's a flower grown wild," adding "Nobody saw the tears in your silk and lace, the scarred little kid behind your face."
