Gulbarga records highest temp of 37.2 degree celsius

Bangalore, Mar 18: Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hrs today. Rainfall occurred at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka. Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Puttur, Mangalore AP, Panambur 1 each.

Maximum temperatures rose at many places over Interior Karnataka being appreciably so at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka. They were above normal at many places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka, however below normal at many places being appreciably so at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and were normal over North Interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded the highest maximum temperature of 37.2 degree celsius over the State. Minimum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at many places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka.

Davanagere recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 15 degree celsius over the State. Forecast valid until Thursday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over South Interior Karnataka; at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to rather heavy rain likely to occur at many places over all the districts of South Interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall Warning: Heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Kolar, Mandya, Mysore, Tumkur districts of South Interior Karnataka during next 48 hours.

Forecast for Bangalore: Partly cloudy. Possibility of rain/thundershowers in some areas. Maximum and Minimum temperature likely to be around 32 and 19 degrees celsius respectively.
