Govt ready to ascertain facts on schemes for farmers
Hyderabad, Mar 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister N Raghuveera Reddy today said the government was ready to approach farmers of Kuppum Assembly constituency to ascertain if they had benefitted from various schemes launched by the government.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Reddy said the government was ready to take up Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu's challenge that the government should discuss with the farmers of his constituency whether the villagers had benefitted from various welfare schemes in the last four years.
The government was ready for an open discussion with the farmers and the villagers on benefits, which included free power supply, waiver of arrears on electricity, interest on crop loans, housing and pensions, he said.
He alleged that Mr Naidu was levelling baseless allegations against the government for political mileage.
