CM warns of action against black marketing and hoarders
Mandi, Mar 18 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today cautioned the traders of essential commodities against hoarding and added that those found guilty of hoarding and profiteering would be dealt with an iron hand.
''Himachal Government is keeping a constant vigil on the movement of essential commodities to check black-marketing and hoarding,'' he said, while addressing a public meeting at Cholthra in Dharampur constituency in Sarkaghat sub-division of this district.
Mr Dhumal said the new BJP Government had started implementing the promises made in its election manifesto from the first day of taking over power.
He also dedicated Rs two crore 33 KV sub-station at Cholthra besides laying foundation stones of a number of development works in the area.
The procurement prices of citrus fruit had also been enhanced by the new government, he said.
He advised the farmers to increase agricultural production by adopting latest modern techniques of agriculture and also go for diversification of agriculture to enhance their income by growing off-season vegetables and other cash crops.
