CM urges PM to direct officials to adopt corrective measures
Hyderabad, Mar 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to direct the concerned officials to adopt corrective measures, following the spiraling prices of cement and steel.
In the letter to the Prime Minister, a copy of which was given to the press here, Dr Reddy said the unabated increase in the prices of cement and steel were severely affecting the constrcution and infrastructure projects in the State.

said
''the
cement
and
steel
producing
industrialists
are
resorting
to
exorbitant
revisions
in
the
prices
and
these
hikes
are
indiscriminate
with
reference
to
their
production
costs.
This
has
also
been
seriously
jeopardizing
the
targets
set
by
the
State
Government
in
INDIRAMMA
housing
and
Jalayagnam
