Lucknow, Mar 17 (UNI) At least six people were killed in separate incidents today in Uttar Pradesh.
Three people were killed in a road accidnet when a truck collided head on with a mini truck coming from the opposite direction at National highway in Musafir station area of Sultanpur district this evening.
Two of the victims, Santosh and Ansari succumbed on the spot, whereas one unidentified person breathed his last during treatment.
In a separate incident, a man was crushed to death after being run over by a speeding roadways bus in Kotwali area of Mainpuri district.
Irked over the incident, people created ruckus and resorted to stone pelting, besides vandalising least six vehicles.
The deceased was identified as Premchand, resident of Lakhora Khurd village.
Later, police swung in action and pacified the mob.
In another incident, an Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus cleaner was killed and 36 passengers injured after it dashed against a truck in Gambheerpur area in Azamgarh.
The accident took place at Varanasi-Azamgarh road, where the bus, en route from Varanasi to Azamgarh, rammed into a stationary truck near Nandi Bhoji village, police said.
The deceased was identified as Murari Srivastava.
Similarly, one person was killed and nine others injured in a head on collision between two trucks at Bidhnu area in Kanpur.
The deceased was identified as Sanjay Mishra of Ghatampur.
The injured had been hospitalised, where two were stated to the critical.
