Rs 30,000 health insurance for BPL labourers
Patna, Mar 17 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi today said labourers from unorganised sectors living Below Poverty Line, will be given Rs 30,000 for health services every year under National Health Insurance Scheme.
Speaking at workshop on successful implementation of the scheme, Mr Modi said 39 lakh BPL families from eight shortlisted districts of the state would be benefited from the scheme starting from the current fiscal.
The scheme would be extended to other districts later on, he added.
He further informed a provision of Rs 14.25 crores has been approved for successful implementation of the scheme with the Centre bearing 75 per cent costs while the rest financed by the state government.
