Patna, Mar 17 (UNI) Bihar government today said that it has prepared a road map for development of agricultural activities in the state after flood and drought like situation.
Replying to a starred question of RJD member Nawal Kishor Yadav, Bihar Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh said in the state Legislative Council that the agricultural produce was fluctuating because of flood and drought which was affecting annual agricultural income.
Keeping in mind the adverse situation, the government had prepared a road map to improve the agricultural production during the next four years.
He said the production of pulses in the state was more than the national average. The government was putting serious efforts for improving the production of other crops and consequently, the use of fertilizer was also increasing, he added.
He said the government was also imparting training to the farmers with advanced and modernised farming techniques.
